Butcher blocks are an attractive yet economical alternative to granite and marble countertops. These tops are designed to be used in the kitchen, and hold up to regular use with proper maintenance. The finish can be sanded, removed, and then refinished once it begins to show signs of wear. Since the butcher block is solid Maple, there is no limit to how many times a butcher block can be sanded down and refinished.
